Pumpkin Spice Latte

Happy Halloween My Lovely Gobblin!

Hope you and yours are celebrating with lots of treats and not tricks. This year I’ve opted out of dressing up and going out. I’ll be at home, enjoying a nice cup of Pumpkin Spice Latte and watching scary movies/tv series.

Actually, now that we’re on the scary movie/tv series topic, you MUST watch ” The Haunting of Hill House”!! I just finished season 1 and OMG, I even have to leave the lights on (lol). I promise that you won’t regret watching that tv series on Netflix. It is the best scary thing I’ve watched in years. So, if you’re looking to relax on this Wednesday (Halloween) evening, grab a cup of pumpkin spice latte, a blanket, and enjoy your new Netflix tv series.

PS: Don’t forget to make some Pumpkin Spice Candied Pecans

Servings 2 cups

  • ground Cuban Espresso Coffee Cafe La Llave
  • water
  • 7 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp canned pumpkin
  • whipped cream to taste
  • cinnamon to taste

  1. Twist mocha pot open, remove espresso filter insert, and then add in water.

  2. Place espresso filter insert back in place. Twist the top and bottom portion of the mocha pot until tightly sealed.

  3. Place mocha pot on High heat.

  4. While the espresso is brewing, grab a cup and place 5 tbsp of sugar inside. Of course, this sugar measurement is for those who love sweet coffee. If you desire, add less.

  5. Once the bubbling and sizzling noises start, that means the espresso is starting to brew. Turn off the heat, lift the lid of the mocha pot carefully. Once you see the espresso is brewing it's first few drops add a drizzle to the sugar.

  6. Then you will stir that tiny bit of espresso and the sugar vigorously until it makes a sugary light brownish paste.

  7. Add the espresso that has brewed in the mocha pot into the cup of the sugary paste.

  8. Grab a cup of milk and place it in the microwave until it is nice and hot.

  9. Once the cup of milk is nice and hot, add in 1 tbsp of canned pumpkin, 1/4 tsp of pumpkin spice, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 tsp of sugar. Mix well. Sip and make sure that it's as sweet as you like it.

  10. Finally, add whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon on top and voila! A natural and delicious pumpkin spice latte that you can make all year around.
